Arabian Scouts

Supplied in a plain box with no guide picture, this large plywood jigsaw is an excellent example from this very scarce brand. The print, from a painting by the German artist Adolph Schreyer (1828-1899), lends itself well to this challenging puzzle, with the huge variety of highly original figural shapes also adding considerably to its enjoyment.
This same image, albeit on a smaller scale, has also been seen in a puzzle by the Scottish manufacturer Valentine's.
