Evening Glory

Small push-fit plywood puzzle from the Zag-Zaw range which includes eight Whimsy shapes.
A second copy brought to my attention-see photos 6/7/8-ably demonstrates just how different two examples of the same puzzle can be. A very different set of whimsies is perhaps the most notable difference, but even the box label measurements vary and in this second version the artist name is more distinct, helping to identify that the painting was probably by the British artist Ezra Elmer Keene (1853-1929) whose works are known to have been used in prints and postcards by several publishers, including Raphael Tuck.
Special thanks to Chris and Joanna Tedder for supplying images of their copy of the puzzle and for helping with the artist information.
