Royal Vera Puzzle

Generally, the Royal Vera puzzles incorporated push-fit, or non-interlocking pieces, set within an interlocking border. They also featured widespread colour line-cutting helping to make them very much more challenging than their Rex cousins. This style was referred to in French as découpe mosaïque (mosaic cutting).
The earliest examples were identified as being Vera Royal Puzzles on a rectangular sticker, but these were later superseded by the more familiar circular label and a change to the Royal Vera identity. See jeu au whist for an example of the earlier style.
Utilising both artistic and photographic images, this range seems to cover the widest variety of subjects. As with all the Vera puzzles, the box quality was excellent, with red boxes and black ribbons to distinguish them.
They have also been known to include Whimsies, or figural shapes, but this is rather an uncommon feature within the Royal range.
