206. Evolution of the Merchant Ship

Very fine example of 1940 produced circular card puzzle featuring a clever arrangement of images of assorted merchant shipping through the ages from early longboats to the 1920's built T.S.S. Vandyck and also featuring an impression of Europe's first commercial steamship Bell's Comet, which started operating in 1812 between Glasgow, Greenock and Helensburgh.
