Surf Bathing

Beautifully cut, semi-interlocking plywood puzzle featuring the same C.E. Turner print used on this South African series puzzle by AVN Jones.
The painting shows Muizenberg beach in South Africa, a popular holiday destination for wealthy Britons in the 1920s & 30s. Agatha Christie learnt to surf there in 1922.
The Fegan childrens charity for which the jigsaws were made, still exists to this day.
Many thanks to the Museum of British Surfing for supplying details, photographs and information about the puzzle and its charitable purposes.
