Forest (Diptych)

Stunning, 689-piece plywood jigsaw puzzle comprised of 2 panels, each connected to the other by three bare plywood whimsy shapes. The pieces fall into two main types, those of irregular pentagonal pieces with fancy forest-shaped connectors (leaves, fungi), plus larger multipiece and interacting whimsies. The cut design was by Tara Flannery and Jim Muller. Production dates from 2014/15, but introduction was delayed to March 2015.

Artifact themselves promoted this as "very hard" and this is borne out by Jackie Armstrong's own comments of ‘Really Hard’, culminating in a total of around 18 1/2 hours of assembly, not counting the setting up time!

The artwork comes from a 1928 painting by the Japanese artist Katayama Bokuyō (1900-1937)

The puzzle is housed in a pine box with sliding lid and smaller scale colour guide image.
