Young Squire Comes of Age, The

Top quality and surprisingly challenging, fully interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle cut by Aunt Eva and estimated to be of c1940s-1950 origin.

The artwork features a painting by the British illustrator Henry Mathew Brock (1875-1960).

The puzzle features a cleverly created wavy border which added significantly to the challenge of identifying the edge pieces. Accurate colour line cutting abounds and the overall enjoyment of completing it was immense. It is housed in a patterned-paper covered circular box with lift off lid and printed edge label. Also enclosed with this example was a 2008 dated information sheet about Aunt Eva. (see main album)
