Opera with border, La

Highly original hand-crafted plywood jigsaw puzzle, manufactured in July 2010 and featuring a colourful painting by the Spanish artist Joaquim Pallarés Allustante (1853-1935).

This is a fully interlocking puzzle with some gentle colour line-cutting and a wonderful array of, relatively symmetrically arranged, drop-out features in the bare wooden outer border areas, all of which have been neatly stained. Also included in the design are two composite figural shaped sections, one featuring a smartly attired couple and the other a pony and trap, along with a cat-shaped signature piece.
