No 631 Angel and No 632 The Children of Lir

I commissioned these two jigsaws from pages of a calendar by fantasy artist Ed Org, who often works in black & white. The calendar pages had an art nouveau border which was to be included in the shaped jigsaws. Extreme line-cutting so the jigsaws are push-fit. The two jigsaws are packed separately in one box. Angel and ‘The Children of Lir’ are both coloured images with a Pre-Raphaelite feel. The tale ‘The Children of Lir’ comes from Irish folklore after the introduction of Christianity and concerns the saving of children long before transformed into swans.
