World's Smallest Wooden Puzzle

A brand of small 99-piece wooden jigsaws made from the mid 1980's by Swedish manufacturer Kärnan and marketed by several toy companies around the world including Whitman in the USA and Selegiochi in Italy.

The substrate is plywood and the puzzles were cut using a high-pressure water jet, giving a very narrow gap between each piece. It is possible to shake completed puzzles without them falling apart.

They are packaged in a transparent fold-over case and have 99 pieces.

Many thanks to Anne Williams for supplying the information on Kärnan.
