Among The Gorse

A beautifully coloured and high quality print has been used to create this 450 piece interlocking plywood puzzle, Made by war disabled men at the British Legion Poppy Factory, Richmond, Surrey. The base of the box carries a Harrods label showing a retail price of 21/-. This example is thought to be of c1930's origin.
I have also seen this same print used for an early 20th Century Holtzappfel puzzle and am advised of further examples by Zig-Zag and also by Tuck's in their Zag-Zaw range. The painting is by the British artist Douglas Graham.
