Fully interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle of c.1953 manufacture, featuring a painting by Arthur James Wetherall Burgess (1879 - 1957) of sailing boats in the Salcombe Estuary, Devon.

Many thanks to information from Tom Tyler who spent his younger days in Salcombe and features in the painting.

The puzzle is housed in a green and white lift-off lidded series 5 box.
