Whip for Van Tromp, A

An interesting plywood jigsaw puzzle which carries a message on its lid which reads THIS PUZZLE IS ONE OF MANY SPECIALLY MADE FOR PUZZLE DRIVES. It contains 150 pieces, plus its four-piece frame surround. John Seymour Lucas (1849-1923) painted this study in 1883 and it features a naval architect presenting a new naval hull design to the Lords of the Admiralty.
