Two/Three deck jig-saw puzzle

Referred to in their pre-1922 price lists, examples of the two deck and also three deck puzzles manufactured by Holtzapffel are very scarce indeed and I am privileged to have been given access to details of some of them. They are thought to have been a relatively limited experiment, probably in the earliest period of company puzzle production c1907-1910, with the only boxed example I have seen still referencing H.M. The King, with post 1910 boxes referring to the Late King Edward VII.
