Eastern Street Scene

The appearance of Whimsies in Holtzapffel puzzles is very uncommon, this being only the second such example I have seen and again containing just two, in this case, cross-shaped pieces.
The cutting style is the typically effective combination of pure push-fit with some semi-interlocking and has been very accurately colour line cut throughout to make a very challenging puzzle indeed. The artist is the British Orientalist painter Robert Talbot-Kelly (1861-1934) and the box address of 61 Baker Street, implies a post 1932 manufacturing date for this particular puzzle.
For another instance of Holtzapffel puzzle featuring whimsies, see Lost Scent (Version 2)
