Falling Leaves

400 piece solid wooden jigsaw puzzle cut in the semi-interlocking style and featuring a very fine painting by the French artist Madeleine Lemaire (1845-1928). The original box was missing, housed instead in a Colombine Christmas crackers box, but the style of cutting, particularly along the colour borders, is very much like that of the top British manufacturer Holtzapffel, who I am confident were the manufacturer of this puzzle. I have tried to illustrate this characteristic in the fourth image.
I estimate it to be of c1920's origin.
