Hotel Stable Yard

This superb plywood jigsaw puzzle exhibits many of the cutting traits which helped make Holtzapffel & Co., into one of the World's most respected manufacturers. The smoothness of the cut lines are extraordinary, whilst the colour line-cutting must be amongst the finest ever created. Look at the panes and lintels in the window sections as examples of the latter.
The painting is one of Albert Ludovici's Dickensian studies which lent themselves so well to use in puzzles made by many of the best manufacturers of the 1920's-1930's.
