King John Signs Magna Carta

Fine quality plywood jigsaw puzzle, dating from c1932 and featuring a semi-interlocking cut style with widespread colour line-cutting. Sadly, the puzzle had lost two of its original pieces, as recorded on both box-lid and the cutter's label, but I have carefully recreated them to render the puzzle complete once more!
The painting is a depiction of King John signing the Magna Carta in 1215, painted by the British artist Henry Justice Ford (1860-1941). This artist's work also appears on two further examples of similar vintage 600+ piece Holtzapffel puzzles, namely Augustine Preaching before King Ethelbert and Charles I.
This particular painting also appears as the artwork of this superb Salmon Academy Super-Cut puzzle.
