Jardin de Husain Baikara, Le

The varied cutting techniques employed within this 800 piece plywood puzzle serve to emphasize the quality of workmanship from this very uncommon French brand. Retailed in the formerly celebrated Paris toy shop Le Nain Bleu, this example features a painting by the Persian artist Kamāl ud-Dīn Behzād (c.1450–c.1535). The main subject area is largely colour line cut in a predominantly non-interlocking style, whilst the white border has a very stylish interlocking pattern.
This is another exceptional example shared with us by Jacques Vélu, who I thank enormously for all of his efforts.
