Union Express, The (150 piece)

Dating from the 1930's, this puzzle was manufactured in both 150 and 300 piece versions, as per the South African series, although interestingly this puzzle was not included in it.
Its fuller title is A South African Train De Luxe on the Cape Town-Johannesburg Line and the label also proudly promotes FROM SEA LEVEL TO NEARLY 6,000 FEET: 900 MILES IN TWENTY EIGHT HOURS.
I do sometimes wonder whether this jigsaw puzzle may have been a forerunner to the South African Series. A brochure included in the box shows both this puzzle and the first nineteen titles of the South African series.
