Haycart, The

Fine quality wooden jigsaw puzzle cut in a predominantly interlocking style, complete with some colour line-cutting. The puzzle entered circulation in 1969 and is believed to have been cut around then by Mr Lea, a prolific cutter for the library at that time, along with being the gentleman tasked with carrying out their replacement piece work. The majority of his puzzles were cut in the non-interlocking manner but clearly he was also asked to provide some in this interlocking style as well.

Th colourful and very jolly panoramic format painting is unsigned.
