Coming of Nelson, The

Beautiful chromo-lithographic print of a painting by the English artist Frederick Morgan, which was issued as a Pears print for their 1901 annual. In this example the artist signature and any Pears reference are absent.
The puzzle itself is superbly cut in an interlocking style with some exquisite shapes. Colour line-cutting has been carefully applied to the characters faces and also to one of the toy yachts.
