Mosaique

Jacques Vélu has introduced me to this little known French brand of wooden jigsaw puzzles. The first three examples shown here were all purchased as new from the same store around 1966-1971. They share very similar cutting styles to their more common Royal Vera Puzzle counterparts, having interlocking borders, semi or non-interlocking centres, colour line-cutting and very small pieces.
All three initial examples came with the same style boxes and labels, the latter carrying a ratio figure such as 4/6 in the case of the puzzle Vue de Delft. This is thought to be an indicator of the number of sizes available, this being number 4 of 6.
Thank you Jacques, for sharing your knowledge and puzzles with us.
