Parker Brothers

Parker Brothers were founded in 1883 by George S. Parker, in Salem Massachusetts, and are understood to have started making wooden puzzles in 1908. The Pastime range of puzzles are highly prized and covered a huge number of subjects and sizes including some examples which featured incredibly intricate cutting. Other ranges included 'Pastime Picture Puzzles' and Jig-Saw Picture Puzzles'. Production ceased in 1958.

Many thanks to Anne Williams who provided valuable information about Parker Bros and the illustrated puzzles.
