Ghost Story, The

Fiendishly challenging plywood jigsaw puzzle, cut along all colour divisions in the non-interlocking style. The print is of a painting by the writer/illustrator Alfred Edmeades Fred Bestall (1892-1986), best known for writing and illustrating the Rupert Bear stories and annuals from 1935-1965. Formerly he worked on other publications including Punch magazine, where I suspect this artwork to have originated from.
