Tiger in a Tropical Storm

Cut in 2013 by Simon Stocken of Puzzleplex on a treadle saw, this excellent quality, 589 piece plywood puzzle features a fine selection of cutting techniques including abundant colour line-cutting, numerous figural shapes, several of which are composite in nature, and Simon's double-serpent, or SS signature pieces. The vibrant artwork, which has proven to be such a suitable puzzle subject, is by the French post-impressionist artist Henri Rousseau (1844-1910), and was itself painted in 1891.
