York

Examples from the York series of New Superimposed Jig-Saw Puzzles seems likely to have been relatively short-lived. They are thought to have originated during the 1920's-1930's, offering a very stylish adaptation from the norm of two dimensional puzzles, by raising subject areas on an accurately-cut backing to give relief to the puzzle.
No manufacturer name appears on the box, but they are promoted as ALL BRITISH.
I would be very happy to include further examples of these superb puzzles if you care to contact me with details. Thank you.
