England backed by France

A map of England and Wales cut into counties and surrounded by interlocking pieces. Backed by a map of France. One of a series sold by G.W. Bacon. Thought to have been made in the early 1900's as the name 'North Sea' became adopted in place of the 'German Ocean' around this time and France is shown without Alsace-Lorraine, part of Germany from 1871 - 1919.

This example was bought from a retailer in Richmond-on-Thames and comes in a dark green box with a paper printout of the English map as a guide picture and a list of other in the series on the base.
