Leisure and Pleasure

Enid Stocken (1905-1983), must surely rank as one of Britain's finest and most prolific wooden jigsaw cutters, utilising wonderful techniques such as colour line-cutting and the inclusion of large numbers of character-shaped pieces to give further interest. She cut puzzles throughout her adult life, with the highest concentration probably coming from the era 1940's-1970's.
Branded as Leisure & Pleasure, they are usually extremely challenging and are highly-prized today.
Her son Peter, and now his own family have continued the family tradition of producing highest quality puzzles, still preferring the use of treadle-operated fretsaws. These now have their own dedicated Puzzleplex album.
